Become A Write

At The Michigan News, our goal is to provide news to the citizens, by the citizens.  That means that rather than rely on writing from professional reporters, we seek the work of those that are truly involved with the action: you.

There are three types of writers that we are looking for here.

1. News Contributors.  This means when you see something happening, you can write something up on it and we will happily publish it.  This can be once every day, once every week, or even once every month.  Anytime you feel like contributing something, as often as you want.

2. Regular Columnists.  This would mean you have your own column in our paper that you write in regularly.  This can be about anything from medical expertise to politics to sewing to auto mechanics.  Anything that interests you enough to contribute on a regular basis.  We prefer that columnists contribute on a fairly consistent, as that allows their fans to read their work regularly.

3. Tips.  If you see an event going on in your community and would like to spread the word, e-mail [email protected] and we will get it up for all to see.  Also, if you see some sort of news but would rather we write the story, please let us know.
